Specializing in Florida State and Local Government Relations
Corey Staniscia has several years of Florida political and legislative experience and specializes in government relations, campaign strategy, and public relations. He brings a diverse synergy of professional experiences from his time working in the athletic, entertainment, and political arenas to Tripp Scott.
Corey’s public sector experience began in the Florida Legislature with former Speaker of the House Will W. Weatherford. Corey more recently served State Representative George Moraitis of Fort Lauderdale as chief legislative aide during legislative sessions, campaign manager for the 2014 election, and special advisor for the 2016 cycle.
In addition to his deep legislative and state agency experience as a former staff member, Corey has bipartisan relationships with key staff members and elected officials locally in south Florida and in Tallahassee. He has quickly become an effective advocate in municipal politics and policy in Broward County where he specializes in land use, permitting, procurement, and general government relations efforts.
In 2016 Corey was named one of the “30 Under 30 Rising Star in Florida Politics” by Florida Politics. He is also a back-to-back recipient of the Florida League of Cities Legislative Staff of the Year award in the 2014 and 2015 legislative sessions.
During his tenure in athletics, Corey worked extensively for the University of South Florida athletics department in Tampa under two different head coaches as a member of the video coaching staff. Corey oversaw all instant replay and off-field officiating at Raymond James Stadium for USF home games, the 2009 Saint Petersburg Bowl, the 2010 Outback Bowl, and the 2011 ACC Championship. He also gained extensive front office experience working directly with the CFO of USF Athletics as a member of the Big East Conference.
In the music and entertainment industry, Corey was asked to serve at the request of an EMI / Capitol Records’ talent, as their operations and tour manager. In this capacity, he handled all press inquiries and interviews, logistics, and day-to-day operations, during the recording process in Vancouver, Canada, and Los Angeles, along with the U.S. and international tours.
